The King’s Charity Golf Day was held in June 2009 at Naunton Downs Golf Course. On a rare day of perfect sunshine, sixteen teams drawn from the local community and made up of former pupils, staff and friends of the School battled on tee and green. A few met with difficulties along the way, but eventually the laurels went to the team from Markey Building Contractors, led by School Governor Paul Markey. The money raised went in support of The King’s Foundation and our partner school in the Dornakal diocese of India. It is very much hoped that this day will become an annual event and that the involvement of former pupils will grow.
