LOWER TRANSITION
Hello and welcome to Lower Transition. My name is Mrs Coates.
We know it can seem like an enormous step into Junior School, but we can assure you that your child will quickly settle in and enjoy learning in their new environment.
We use the Oxford Reading Tree, Big Cat and Rigby Reading Scheme. We will follow the Jolly Phonics programme, and the Sounds and Letters scheme.
In Lower Transition we enjoy weekly Dance, Art, P.E, Music and ICT lessons. We also have “Reading Buddies” with our friends from Lower Shell, it is a great way to help us improve our reading skills and develop our confidence with books.
During the year we will go on many trips and enjoy new experiences and activities. We will visit Over Farm when our topic is on Healthy Eating and we will also visit the Sculpture Trail, Folk Museum and Eastnor Castle.
Lower Transition class have their very own special bear called Kinder Bear! Every Friday Kinder Bear will go home to share his weekend with one of the children.
