Upper Prep (Year 4)

UPPER PREP

Welcome to Upper Prep. My name is Mrs Tuffill.

Upper Prep extends a very warm welcome to you! We are delighted that you have decided to look at our webpage and we hope it provides you with the information you need. In our class we enjoy lots of exciting activities every day, as well as a range of wonderful trips throughout the year.

We work hard in Year 4, and we learn so much every day from solving tricky mathematical number problems to putting together whole class productions, writing our own play scripts, using computers in the ICT Suite to gathering research and carrying out investigations and experiments, writing stories and poems, need we go on?!

The curriculum in Junior School is broad. Pupils study a large range of subjects, encouraging them to experiment, to try things out, to establish which curriculum areas suit them best so that when the time comes to specialise, decisions can be made on the basis of real experience.

Some of our trips will include a visit to the Corinium Museum for our topic on Romans, and as part of our Judaism topic we will visit the Cheltenham Synagogue. We are always busy, but have lots of fun along the way!

We look forward to meeting you soon.
