Lower Shell visit @ Bristol

On Thursday 4th March Lower Shell visited @ Bristol for a day of exploration and fun looking around The Planetarium.

The trip to @ Bristol was brilliant!  At first we went to a workshop and did several experiments to prove the arrangement of the planets and the size and distance away from the earth the moon is.  We then had some free time to explore before we had our lunch.  After lunch we visited the gift shop before going to look at The Planetarium - my favourite part of the day.  I can't wait to visit again.

On Thursday 4th March Lower Shell went on a trip to @ Bristol.  First we went to a workshop and a lady told us about the Earth, Moon and Sun and she gave us a board with the sun on and we had to put the planets in the right order.  Then we had to blow up a balloon to the size we thought it would be, if it was the moon going around a globe.  Then we made moon dials.  We had some free time to explore before going to have a look around the shop.  Finally we went to the Planetarium and a man showed us the different shapes the stars made.  I really enjoyed it.

On Thursday 4th March Lower Shell went to @ Bristol for our topic on space.  We did a workshop on space which was really good fun because we learnt how big the moons equator is and what would happen if we went into space without a space suit on!  My favourite part of the whole trip was going to the room where you could see what it was like filming the news or making a music video on a green screen.  We visited the Planetarium and learnt about Orion the Hunter and the Bull.  It was a really good trip and I would like to go again.
