The aim of Aftercare is to provide quality out of school care within a safe, happy and caring environment to children from the term in which they turn three.
It is situated in the Anniversary Building of the Junior School with all the necessary facilities and a convenient and safe pick-up point.
We strongly promote a very child centred environment where child-lead activities prevail. More structured activities such as cookery, group games and homework support are also provided.
We provide drinks and balanced snacks comprising fresh fruit and vegetables and/or soup, toast, hotdogs, crisps and biscuits etc. each evening to see the children through to their tea time. Children are encouraged to learn and use good manners, be independent by helping themselves and enjoy the rewards of helping others.
The children are encouraged to reflect on their day, making sense of all they have seen, heard and experienced. They enjoy interaction with each other whether it is in family, class or friendship groups. They will also have support from, and if required, interaction with qualified, relaxed, friendly and positive members of staff.
Aftercare is currently available to King’s School pupils and children of the staff.
Aftercare is open from 3:30pm every weekday until 6:00pm.
The children are either escorted to Aftercare by staff at the end of the day or, dependent on their ages, arrive after clubs. Children should be collected by authorised persons only by 6:00pm.
Bookings and Applications:
Bookings must be made using the official application form, and 24 hours notice given. However in certain circumstances, bookings may be accepted at short notice.

Cancellation Notice:
24 hours or a full hours charge will be incurred.
Payment:
£5.70 per hour
Calculated in quarter-hour increments (minimum charge one full hour).
50% discount for second and subsequent siblings.
Late collections will incur a charge of £5.00 per child for every five minute increment past 6:00pm.
Charges are payable in arrears and will appear on your termly account.
We accept vouchers, please enquire for details.
