Junior School sport is only the start of a lifetime’s participation. The extensive fixtures list enables a great percentage of our pupils to experience the benefits of representing the school in a team sport.
Supporting our regular physical activities, Children have the opportunity to take part in extra curricular activities which include hockey, rugby, cricket, rounders, netball, and football, including mixed football.
Extra curriculum activities take place after Junior School ends at 3:35. Children benefit from our affiliation with Gloucester Rugby Club, Gloucester County Cricket Club and Riverside Sports Centre. Many of the activites take place on our playing fields at Archdeacon Meadow, a first class county cricket ground as well as a training area for Gloucester Rugby Football Club.
Some of our year 6 pupils also have the opportunity to compete at a higher level with senior school children in our annual swimming gala and interhouse athletics competition.
