13+ Scholarships

13+ Scholarships and Non-Academic Awards

We offer 13+ Scholarships for academic excellence and Non-Academic awards for exceptional ability, or potential in Sport, Music, Art and Drama.

They are awarded to pupils in Year 8 (under 13 at the 1st September) for entry into Year 9 and are tenable, subject to suitable progress, through to the end of the 5th form.

As well as the prestige attracted to winning an award, there is a considerable benefit to parents in a fee reduction which is generally in the range of 10%-50% of fees paid. If the financial amount of a scholarship is insufficient to allow a pupil to attend King’s, parents can apply for a means-tested bursary to supplement the award.

Candidates may apply for more than one award: a child may, for example, receive both a sporting award and an academic scholarship or exhibition.
