The school is holding a 'Race Night' on Friday 12th March to help raise funds for the Senior Boys Cricket and Rugby and Senior Girls Hockey Tour to Barbados 12th - 26th July 2010.
Tickets for the evening will be: £7.50 for adults and £5 for King's Pupils and U'18's - to include a programme and ploughman's style meal.
A paid bar will be available throughout the evening.
- There will be seven races in total (8 runners in each race). In the first six races, horses will have been bought prior to the evening. The horses for the seventh race will be auctioned on the night.
- To buy a horse will cost £10 (you will need to think of a name for your horse - Carter's Cart Horse for example!). If your horse wins you will be guaranteed to win a minimum of £20.
- To sponsor a race will cost £50 (you will need to provide a name for the race). The final race will be open to offers! Sponsoring a race entitles you to two free tickets for the night.
- 50% of all bets will go into the Tour Fund.
- Minimum Bet on the night will be 50p.
- We are also looking for sponsors for our programme - £25 for a page. It could be a good opportunity for a company!

It is essential that this form is completed and returned immediately after half-term as the programme will need to be finalised a week before the event (week beginning 1st March). All cheques must be payable to The King's School. If it would be easier to put the total amount on your next school bill please highlight this in the appropriate section of the booking form.
Finally, we would like all those who attend to dress appropriately for the 'Races' e.g. wellingtons, Barbour, hats etc - it will help to create a fantastic atmosphere.
