Academic

Students entering the Sixth Form have access to a wide variety of AS and A2 courses and the timetable is constructed each year on the basis of their choices. Most take four AS subjects in the Lower Sixth, narrowing to three A2 subjects in the Upper Sixth, but many variations are possible. Classes are kept deliberately small to allow students to participate fully, to develop their personal interests and to adopt an adventurous approach to their own learning.

Students are encouraged to extend their academic horizons through additional courses such as Critical Thinking or the Extended Project, through the termly enrichment programme and opportunities such as the annual Sixth Form Conference.  A strong academic tradition and a focus on university preparation make the Sixth Form at King’s a perfect environment for ambitious individuals to thrive.
