Ifs Student Investor is an internet based stock market trading game, it provides students with the opportunity to gain a better insight into stock markets both internationally and in the UK. It provides the students with the chance to interact as a team and to obtain a more concise knowledge of the national and international economy as well as economics in the wider world. Since the stock prices on the game are linked to the real stock prices and fluctuations, the game has become more interesting this year due to the state of the economy.
Teams consist of 4 students; at the moment King’s has 5 teams taking part, all of which eagerly investigate share prices and frequently update their portfolio of share holdings, some on a daily basis. Presently, a team of U6 Economists are at the top of the school leader board and steadily moving on up the national leader board.
