2004/2005 Funding

This year we had a chance of rule for funding requests by teachers. The KSPA decided that ALL requests for funds had to be submitted by October Half Term and that the KSPA would then decide which causes to support. In this way, fundraising events could be arranged depending on how much money needed to be raised in one academic year.

2003/2004 saw the KSPA raise an unprecedented £6000+ and it was felt that a less ambitious target would be acceptable for this academic year.

Funding has therefore been granted to the following sections of the school:

  • Modular staging for use by the whole school - £2000
  • Play equipment for Kindergarten - £170
  • A new cooker for Wardle House - £200
  • Digital recording equipment for Dulverton House Sixth Form Centre - £1000
  • A DVD player for the History Department - £40
However, with the success of the events organised by February 2005, the KSPA had already raised sufficient funds to fund all the above! It was therefore decided to grant an additional funding request to:
  • Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme for more outdoor equipment - £460
