Accessing Work from Home

It is possible to access your 'My Documents' and Learning Resources from home.

Simply load up Internet Explorer and type in the following address:

Note - that the address is https as this a secure page, rather than the normal http.

Then click 'Yes' if prompted. A login box should then appear. Type in your normal

username and password that you use for the network.

eg j.smith

NB the password is case sensitive, so ensure the CAPS lock isn't on.

You will then be presented with a screen similar to the one below:

You then have two options. To open your 'My Documents' folder click once on the icon of a file just to the left of 'Select this icon to show your Home Directory'.

The contents of 'My Documents' should now appear in a Explorer style window. If you wish to edit a document, you should copy it to your home computer's hard disk (C drive), and then if you wish to access the file from school copy the file back again when you have finished.

If you wish to view Learning Resources simply click on the icon of a box from the main screen.
