Checking Email from HomeEmail Code of ConductIt is possible to check your school email address from home. Load up Internet Explorer and type in: https://mail.thekingsschool.co.ukThen click 'Yes' if prompted. A login box should then appear. Type in your normal username and password that you use for the network. eg j.smith NB the password is case sensitive, so ensure the CAPS lock isn't on. You will then be presented with a screen similar to the one below: ![]() Your Inbox will automatically appear with all new email messages appearing at the top of the screen in bold. To write a new email message click on 'New' towards the top left of the screen. You should then be presented with a screen similar to the one below. ![]() If you wish to send an email to a colleague at the school you can click on 'To...' in order to bring up the address list as shown below. ![]() Then type the surname of the person into the 'Last name' box and then click 'Find' on the right hand side of the page. Then click on the name of the person. Then click on 'To' at the bottom of the window. This process can be repeated if you are sending the email to more than one person. It is also possible to click on 'Cc' to copy the email to someone. Then click on 'Close' to return to the main screen. Now fill in the title or subject of the email in the subject box. Now click in the big white box area of the page and start typing the message. If you wish to insert a file attachment, eg a Microsoft Word document, click on 'Attachments'. Then click on 'Browse' to locate the file you wish to attach then click 'Open'. Then click 'Attach'. This process can be repeated if you wish to add any further attachments. When you have finished adding attachments click 'Close'. ![]() When you have finished writing the email, you also have the option to choose to mark the email as either high priority (!) or low priority (↓). Now you are ready to send your email message. To send it simply click on 'Send'. |
