Thanks to John Norrington Davies for the information that this photograph was probably taken on Thursday, April 16th, 1953, prior to the departure of the group for Holland. The nine day trip cost £10 - £12!! ![]()
Although part of the Palace building had been used by the school since 1955, it was not until 1960 that the school finally took over the whole building. This involved lifting a great deal of furniture! ![]()
Junior School led the way in the introduction of coeducation to Kings. Girls were admitted to the Junior School in 1969 ![]()
Benjamin Britten's "Noye's Fludde" was performed in the Cathedral in December 1971 ![]()
The swimming pool was opened in 1971 and was much appreciated during the summer months ![]()
The Queen visited Gloucester in May 1986 on the occasion of her 60th birthday. Junior School presented her with a special birthday book ![]()
