THE KING'S SCHOOL MUSEUM

Little Cloister House now contains the recently developed King's School Museum. Housed in room 43, formerly Transition classroom, the museum is gradually becoming the home of school memorabilia. Although the King's School has a long history, the museum focuses on the twentieth century. The photograph below shows the school in the early 1900s with headmaster, Oswald Hayden, 1903-1920. The choristers can be identified by their Eton collars.

Each decade from 1900-2000 is represented in wall displays and recollections of past pupils are being compiled. Would you like to visit the museum? If you would, please contact Mr David Evans at the school. Do you have memorabilia which you would like to donate to the museum? If you do, please contact us. We should also be pleased to receive written or taped accounts of your time at the school particularly if you have a good tale to tell!

The museum was recently used for a History Study Day.
Pupils played ther ancient game of Fox and Geese.
