Unique setting, warm relationships

Beautiful buildings alone do not create a successful and thriving school, and we believe that the supportive and caring environment which flourishes at King's is the real secret of our success. The relatively small size of our school enables us to get to know our pupils as individuals. This allows us to maintain a happy, productive atmosphere.

Boys and girls of all ages, nationalities and religions come to King's. Some of them spend their entire school life here, others come for a year or two, perhaps at a crucial point in their education.

We like to think that, however long a child spends with us, we will leave a lasting impression.

"Spending my days in the shadow of glorious Gloucester Cathedral - sharing in the development of stimulating young people with talented, enthusiastic colleagues and the support of interested, caring parents - what could be better?

"It is certainly a continuing learning process for me and I would like to think that I challenge their minds almost as much as they challenge mine!"

"What a pleasure it is to participate in the development of the pupils from young boys and girls, through the trials of adolescence, into mature, wise adults. It is a rare privilege and such fun!"

Pastoral Care

We expect our pupils to be proud of their school and of themselves and to reflect this in their dress and their behaviour.

Effective pastoral care lies at the heart of our priorities. A pupil who feels happy, secure and valued as an individual will perform to the best of his or her potential. Therefore we place great emphasis on the development of good relationships and understanding between all members of the school community - parents, pupils and staff. Communication at all levels is positively welcomed. We work together with the best interests of the pupil in mind.
