At King's a communal ethos is carefully nurtured so that every individual has a strong sense of belonging. We cherish the friendly relationships between staff and pupils and amongst the pupils themselves. At the same time, a passionate belief that 'every child matters' is more than educational rhetoric but an article of faith.
Beautiful buildings alone do not create a successful and thriving school, and we believe that the supportive and caring environment which flourishes at King's is the real secret of our success. The relatively small size of our school enables us to get to know our pupils as individuals. This allows us to maintain a happy, productive atmosphere.
We expect our pupils to be proud of their school and of themselves and to reflect this in their dress and their behaviour.
Effective pastoral care lies at the heart of our priorities. A pupil who feels happy, secure and valued as an individual will perform to the best of his or her potential. Therefore we place great emphasis on the development of good relationships and understanding between all members of the school community - parents, pupils and staff. Communication at all levels is positively welcomed. We work together with the best interests of the pupil in mind.
