This thriving department consists of two full-time members of staff, housed in The Old Palace, each with their own teaching room equipped with media projector, interactive whiteboard and video facilities. The department is also fortunate to have its own ICT suite, which includes an area for independent research and study.
As well as easy access to digital media, pupils are encouraged to use traditional forms of research. Books, broadsheet news papers and periodicals all make regular appearances in both classroom and independent study.

Through an active and investigative approach to learning, the study of Economics and Business Studies provides a springboard for individuals to realise their potential. The Department aims to empower pupils to enable them to be better informed employers, employees, consumers and voters.
