The Psychology department at King's is a small but robust department which has one specialist part time member of staff. Since its inception in the autumn of 2000, Psychology has provided numerous pupils with the opportunity to study the science of human behaviour. As a subject, it invites learning through discussion and has a strong practical element since it provides pupils with the opportunity to learn about research by conducting their own investigations. The course encourages pupils to use their psychological knowledge to explain current events and develops valuable analytical skills. Both the knowledge and skills acquired are suitable for a wide range of careers.
