16-18 Years
Throughout the course of the two years in the Sixth Form, pupils have the opportunity to gain experience or qualifications in important areas beyond their main focus of study.
There are many academic, cultural and social opportunities available to Sixth Formers outside the classroom. As well as a full programme of sporting and musical activities other extra curricular activites include:
The Lower Sixth are encouraged to enter the 'Fendick Competition', where they carry out independent research to produce a 7 minute Powerpoint presentation on an issue connected with one of their subjects but reaching beyond the curriculum. The final of this is judged by external volunteers and is attended by peers, staff, parents and governors.
We also have the annual Sixth Form Conference with a different theme each year. This is held at a location away from school and consists of presentations, discussion groups and feedback by staff, pupils and invited guests.
