Bus Routes for 2023 /24

From September, in order to move to a more sustainable, transparent and fairer pricing structure, parents will be able to purchase termly tickets, and also have the option of a morning or afternoon ticket, or both.  The fees will be invoiced termly, in advance.

The new ticketing structure has been intentionally priced to make it a viable option for more pupils to use; thus reducing congestion on site and pollution. We will be offering a 50% discount to siblings (to apply to the second and any subsequent children), Choristers and for those children who are registered to more than one bus.

Registers will not be taken by the bus drivers but students will be given a termly bus pass to show that they are registered for that particular bus and journey time. Only registered pupils can travel on School buses.

If any ad-hoc journeys are required, these will need to be agreed with Mrs Higginbotham, the Transport Co-ordinator in advance so she can allocate a temporary pass and let the driver know to expect the student.

The tickets will be offered on a first come first served basis.  We will not be able to over subscribe any buses as all the seats will have been paid for.

Routes

King’s School has nine dedicated bus routes solely for use by King’s pupils. All routes are designed to be as accommodating as possible and are reviewed annually, but buses can only stop at pre-booked locations.

Current bus routes for the 2023/24 academic year, fees and pick up points are listed in the document below.

Please note, routes and prices are subject to change.
