Sixth Form Experience Day for Year 10's - Monday June 15th
Year 10 pupils who are considering joining King’s Sixth Form in September 2027 are warmly invited to spend a day with us on Monday 15 June. This special event is designed to give you a real insight into Sixth Form life — from the subjects you can study to the inspiring spaces you’ll be learning in.
You’ll be based in our impressive Sixth Form centre, Dulverton, where you’ll take part in Fun Taster Lessons in the subjects you’re thinking about choosing. It’s a great chance to explore subjects you may not have studied before, such as Economics, Psychology, Politics, Photography, and BTEC Sport, all of which are taught in small classes, delivered by inspiring teachers in high end facilities.
The day will begin at 8:30am, and throughout the day you’ll be able to enjoy the Sixth Form Common Room and our vibrant Dulverton Café. Lunch will be provided. Subject tasters take place through the morning, during the afternoon, pupils will have the opportunity to take part in the Sixth Form's innovative 'Future Skills Programme', which aims to educate the pupils in the wider skills needed for success beyond school. Pupils will have a choice from the suite of options offered to the Lower Sixth, including Car Safety, Cookery, Safe Travels Abroad, Kitting out your first home, First Aid, and Teamwork and leadership skills.
The day will finish at 4:10pm, when we will welcome parents for light refreshments and the chance to tour the Sixth Form Centre and meet our staff and current pupils.
