Set the stage for GCSE Shakespeare

Want to get GCSE-ready? Mystified by Macbeth? More familiar with Gnomeo & Juliet than Romeo and Juliet? This workshop is for you!

Join us for an interactive workshop which will introduce the play’s language, characters and themes via practical drama-based activities. You will leave the session with a stronger understanding of the play’s key themes and ideas and some practical techniques to help you approach your GCSE Shakespeare studies and exams with confidence.

The course will be run by Mrs Cassie Martin, an experienced examiner and teacher of English and Drama at GCSE and A Level. She holds an MA in Shakespeare and Education with Distinction from The Shakespeare Institute in Stratford-upon-Avon, part of the University of Birmingham.

Who should attend?

This course is for pupils aged 14 - 15, and in school years 9 & 10  

When?

Wednesday 13th August

10am - 12pm – Romeo & Juliet

2pm - 4pm – Macbeth

How much is the course?

£30 per session.

Please wear comfortable clothing and trainers and bring a water bottle.
