Why King's?

At whatever stage you join King's you quickly become part of our community that begins at the age of three in Little King's, and runs right through to our thriving alumni network. The unique features of King’s, which visitors identify time and again, are the inclusive community, the warmth of welcome and the level of individual care for our pupils.

To help you get a feel for King's you can see the highlights of our recent Good Schools Guide reviews by watching the reels below or by reading the full Little King's and Junior King's review or Senior School and Sixth Form review on the Good Schools Guide website.

The King's community in school is made up of over 700 pupils, all on one site, so all age groups come together with each pupil playing a part in the structure of the school. Out of school time parents, pupils, staff and our wider community regularly take part in events that celebrate all that makes King's special. you can read more about our community and partnership working and see our annual Charity and Partnership Reports on our community page.

Cementing the strength of our community is our three time win of the SoGlos Independent School of the Year award, a record in the the awards history showing consistency and levels of advocacy.

"Pairing rich history and tradition with a forward-thinking educational philosophy, King's delivers academic success within a nurturing environment, renowned for its outstanding pastoral care, broad curriculum and extra-curricular offering, and close links to Gloucester Cathedral."

Our Ethos, shown below, is made up of six key pillars and forms the basis of our Strategic Plan. These six key pillars are the foundation of what makes King's different and the basis from which we build our school community.

It is not easy task to describe how individual King's is. We hope you get a feel for our school from this site and by following us on our social media.
