The King's School is delighted to be hosting the "Growing Hope" Gardening Project together with Winston's Wish.

Through gardening together, "Growing Hope" offers a nourishing space which feeds both the emotional and physical well being of bereaved primary school children, enabling them to meet other children of similar ages who have experienced bereavement and create small networks of support allowing them to process feelings of grief in a gentle way.

Emma Tyer, King's Well-being mentor who is involved in this projects commented, "At the first meeting we planted runner beans, pumpkins, lettuce and radish and the children are looking forward to seeing how tall the beans have grown when we meet again next month. Each child also planted some nasturtium seeds to take home with them."
