Supporting Our Parent Businesses

We recognise that changes to VAT on school fees and wider economic pressures are having an impact on families, and we want to do what we can to support our community.

At King’s, we firmly believe that when our parents and alumni are thriving professionally, the whole King’s community benefits. It is a shared, circular economy — and one of the defining strengths of our school. With that in mind, we are delighted to be the first school locally to introduce a set of initiatives specifically designed to support parent and alumni businesses, while also advancing one of our most important charitable priorities.

Online Business Directory

We have launched a brand‑new online Business Directory, providing current and former parents and alumni with the opportunity to promote their businesses directly to the King’s community.

The Directory is intended to be a practical, visible way to strengthen connections within our community and to support one another’s professional endeavours. It has been encouraging to see many businesses already taking part, with several offering exclusive discounts or benefits to the community.

We invite participants to make a suggested donation of £50, with all proceeds supporting the School’s Bursary Endowment Fund.
