Information for University and College Admissions Teams
King’s is a medium sized non-selective independent school. 20% of all fees are funded by bursaries and scholarships.
The school represents a broad cross-section of society with pupils going on from Sixth Form to university, apprenticeships or the world of work.
King’s is located in a county which boasts no less than seven maintained sector, selective grammar schools; as such, our range of pupil abilities and backgrounds is very broad.
The majority of our Sixth Form sit three GCE A-levels and several of those doing Mathematics take Further Mathematics in addition. A small number take a separate, fourth A-level.
We also have a small cohort following the Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma in Sport qualification.
We do not offer AS levels.
We offer AQA’s Extended Project Qualification to the Lower Sixth as one of a number of extension/enrichment opportunities.
