A number of King's girls play across the teams for Apperley Cricket Club and recently attended the Gloucestershire Cricket Awards, at Gloucestershire County Cricket Club in Bristol - it was a very successful evening for the girls and the club.

  • Apperley U11 girls’, with Sienna, Eva and Farrah, were crowned Gloucestershire North League Champions and County Champions after winning the Finals Day tournament.
  • Apperley U13 girls’, with Seren, Charlotte, Liv, Sienna and Eva were crowned Gloucestershire North League Champions and County Champions after winning the Finals Day tournament.
  • Apperley U15 girls’, with Lily, Sophie and Amelie, finished second in the Gloucestershire North League.

Well done to all the girls for a fantastic season!

Seren was also named as the ‘Best bowler for 2022 season for the U13 Gloucestershire North League’ for Apperley Cricket Club. She was also picked for Gloucestershire U13 County Development team that played against Wiltshire at Clifton College in the summer, where Gloucestershire won the game.

And Farrah has been selected for the Gloucestershire County Development U11 cricket squad for their winter nets starting in January ahead of the 2023 summer season. She has progressed through two sets of trials to be selected and as a year 5 student and only under 10 this is a great achievement so far.

We are looking forward to a bright future for girls’ cricket at the school!
