Mr Collins' friend Hannah Bendall has been dousing herself in cold water across various locations across and around the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley every day for the past month. As a cancer survivor Hannah has been on a fundraising mission - she has already raised an amazing amount of money for Cancer Research.

On the final Sunday of her month-long challenge Hannah was joined by our very own Fifth Form pupil Emily, who is going through treatment for Lymphoblastic Leukaemia.

Mr Collins' is keen for our school community to help to boost Hannah's 'Just Giving' total and give our support to such a great cause. Cancer is something that many across our school community are being affected by.

On Monday 9th May Mr Collins organised a charity fundraising event in School, called 'Staff Super-Soaker'. Pupils, parents and staff voted and donated for which member of staff they would like to see soaked. Hannah herself was also able to join us on the day on Paddock, and we had some Super Soaking devices kindly supplied and operated by two very generous parents.

We were overwhelmed with the support that the event received from our school community and were thrilled to have smashed our fundraising target, raising over £1200. As we raised over £700, all of our brave staff volunteers and Hannah were soaked in front of a huge audience on Paddock.

We would like to thank everyone who supported the event by donating money for this incredible cause. And of course, huge thanks to John Collins for organising the event and all of the staff who were soaked!
