On Friday 25th November we were delighted to welcome over 200 guests to our annual 'Festival of Carols' in Gloucester Cathedral. This always popular event is a wonderful way to welcome in the festive season and enjoy an evening of Christmas music.

Guests arrived to a drinks and canapé reception held in the majestic setting of the festively decorated Nave, before the evening's performances began in the more intimate Lady Chapel, where the String Quartet and King's Harmonists performed.

The School Chaplain, Revd Daniel Rutherford, then welcomed everyone with a prayer into the Quire, where guests enjoyed further performances from the Chamber Choir and Kings Harmonists, as well as poetry readings.

Finally, guests moved back to the Nave for more music from the Concert Band and String Quartet, as well as some wonderful solos, Christmas songs for all and even a festive game of pass the parcel!

It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening, showcasing some of the fantastic musical talent within the school and an excellent opportunity for our school community to gather together as we begin to celebrate the festive period.
