We are delighted to confirm that the Dornakal visit will happen from the 9th to 19th May.

There will be two teachers and one student from the DDEM High School in Dornakal, Mr Arun Kumar Mendu and Mr Shyam Mesa, and Mahitha Kommu, who is 14.  There will also be the Bishop of Dornakal, his wife Revd. Vijaya who is also the Principal of the DDEM School and Revd. Abhijith Bhimala who is the Dornakal Diocesan Link Officer with the Diocese of Gloucester.

The teachers and Mahitha are being hosted by King’s families and the three clergy by Bishop Rachel in Pitt Street. The Dornakal team will visit us on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday joining in school activities and lessons. They will also go to London to meet Bishop Rachel at the House of Lords and visit other schools in Gloucestershire which are linked with schools in the Diocese of Dornakal. It is the first visit to another country for the DDEM teachers and Mahitha.  They are all very excited to be coming. We will be having a Dornakal Day on Thursday 15th May to celebrate their visit. This will also be a non-uniform day.

Thank you for your generosity and continued support: we are really looking forward to welcoming our guests.
