We were delighted to welcome back King's Alumnus Richard Markey to speak about his company Fleet Electric, the UK's first climate positive vehicle leasing service and fleet consultancy.

Having started at King's in 1994, Richard was one of the very first pupils to go all the way through the school, eventually representing the first teams in Rugby, Hockey and Cricket. He left in 2009 and went on to study Business Administration in Portsmouth. Upon graduating, he was offered a role at Mitsubishi where he stayed for eight years before taking the plunge on his own, to great success.

Passionate about sustainability and with unique experience in the Electric Car market from his time working with Mitsubishi, Richard outlined the technological advancements in motoring and explained that the way that people are buying cars is changing. He also spoke expertly on the way businesses, including King's, can take advantage of government schemes to save money and save the planet at the same time!
